Operating model

One site.
A cadence that holds.

Ghana loses ground between reports — a pit widens, a track appears, a buffer is crossed. SkyGhana fixes how often you look, what counts as a change, and who has to act when it happens.

01

Baseline

Fix a dated, cloud-free reference state for the concession, corridor or reserve, reconciled with the boundaries on record.

02

Cadence design

Set revisit intervals from how fast each change actually happens, what it costs to miss it, and how much cloud the region throws at you.

03

Sensing stack

Combine wide-area optical screening, tasked high-resolution capture, all-weather radar continuity and UAV survey where centimetres matter.

04

Detection

Compare each capture against the baseline and the previous epoch; measure the changed footprint rather than describing it.

05

Verification

Route flagged patches to ground inspection, geotagged photography or UAV survey before anything is called an incident.

06

Escalation record

Deliver a dated change log, measured areas and volumes, imagery pairs and the escalation trail to the responsible authority or asset owner.

Sensing layers

Every layer states
what it cannot see.

10 m · revisit from 5 days

Wide-area optical (10 m class)

Low-cost standing coverage of whole concessions and corridors.

Limit: Cannot resolve single structures or narrow tracks.

0.3–0.5 m · revisit from 2 days

High-resolution optical (30–50 cm, tasked)

Tasked capture for structures, encroachment and evidence-grade detail.

Limit: Tasking is competitive and cloud-dependent; acquisition is not guaranteed on a given day.

5–20 m · revisit from 6 days

Radar / SAR (all-weather)

Sees through cloud — the continuity layer through Ghana's rainy months.

Limit: Limited for buildings, colour and fine boundaries; interpretation is specialist work.

0.02–0.05 m · revisit from 1 days

UAV / drone survey (2–5 cm)

Centimetre evidence, volumes and orthomosaics over a defined site.

Limit: Requires GCAA authorisation, a licensed pilot, site access and safe airspace.

Decision outputs

Measured change,
not a picture.

Dated baseline and change-epoch register

Measured change footprints in hectares and volumes

Before-and-after imagery pairs per incident

Buffer, boundary and concession breach mapping

Alert log with escalation route and closure status

Seasonal capture calendar and acquisition record

Service boundary

Detection is evidence, not enforcement.

SkyGhana detects, measures and dates change and routes it to the responsible party. Enforcement remains with the Minerals Commission, EPA Ghana, the Forestry Commission, the Water Resources Commission, district assemblies and the asset owner. UAV capture is flown only under Ghana Civil Aviation Authority authorisation by a licensed remote pilot.

Built for

06 / Programme action register

Resolve before the first capture

Priority 01

Refresh and certify the baseline

A dated baseline causes false positives from change that predates the mandate. Re-capture and reconcile against existing records.

Priority 02

Cadence cannot meet the required response window

The current design delivers an escalation in about 7 days against a target of 3 day(s). Add radar continuity, standing UAV cover or accept a longer window.

Priority 03

Add radar continuity through the cloud-affected months

Modelled optical obstruction in the Forest (bimodal rains) is around 64%. Radar keeps the record continuous when optical capture fails.

Build stage / the chain

Nothing here
stands alone.

SkyGhana™ answers “What changed since the last look?”. It produces the dated capture epochs and change alerts — and that record is exactly what the next desk refuses to work without.
